About us

Bob & Leslie Zahm along with their daughter Linzy make up Z Animal Crossing.  Bob & Leslie have been in the livestock industry for decades.  Their equine enterprise started with Appaloosa horses.  They bred, raised, owned, and showed Appaloosas.  Showing competitively on the ApHC circuit, they won numerous National, World, and Futurity titles.

After the arrival of their daughter Linzy, the family has become a cornerstone of the POA community, beginning in 1995 when they purchased two geldings at the International POA sale. This marked the start of a lasting influence and love of the breed that continues to grow. Through their commitment to breeding, showing, serving, volunteering, and ensuring smooth operations at events, the Zahm’s embody a selfless dedication to the POA breed. Linzy currently serves as one of the Mid-East Region's National Directors.

Z Animal Crossing is home to a large breeding operation.  Currently housing over 40 broodmares, including POA, ApHC, and AQHA mares.  Linzy has went to school and does all the farms stallion collections, shipments, and on-site AI.  Zahm’s stand 7 of their own stallions and are agents for a few outside stallions.  Over the years, more than 125 foals have been raised on their property, and in one impressive breeding season alone, the Zahm’s bred, collected, and shipped for over 86 mares!

The Zahm family looks forward to continuing the growth of their breeding program.  Showing, promoting new young, quality, breeding stallions to ensure the future success of its breeding program is important.  Raising well bred foals to be versatile mounts is a focus for the program.
